Another car :) Yes, we finally bought a another car. Most people don't know this, but we have been a one car family for a long time. We had an older Honda Accord, that set more on the drive way than it drove it. So, in 2006 we gave it to a friend. It was hard, having to juggle schedules around, getting up early in the morning to take hubby to work, then keep the car for the day. Do my errands in a hurry, before it was time again to go get him at work. Anna was also a little cramped in the back, specially when we traveled. She is a happy girl today.
A couple of months ago, I started praying for the Lord to bless us with another car. I was praying for something older and used, just good enough for DH to drive it to work. Back in May we received our tax return and just didn't spend it, for I was saving for mom to come for a visit this fall. Well, she can't come for visit until next summer......DH and I talked over, worked on our budget and the search began over the Internet for another car.
Our first stop - The sales man didn't seem too interested on us after we told him we were looking for an used van. He really wanted to sell us something brand new......we could tell he just plain didn't show any interest when we told him how much we could afford for a monthly payment . He kept offering us the most ridiculous things, most of them had horrible smells. He at one point looked at me and said: "What do you a brand new car?" He was sort very sarcastic. LOL, for my friends who know me for awhile, you all know I have what my friend Training Hearts calls "A bionic nose" Boy, am I glad we all decided to leave that one place and go on to the next stop. We did like one Honda Odyssey, and thought we would go back if all failed. I'm glad we didn't have to go back there.
Going to the second stop - The next stop the sales man said the same thing, " If you don't want smells you need to buy a brand new car"..........
Going on the third and final stop The sales people were most accommodating of our needs. The first one we looked at, I about died with the smoke smell camouflaged into some sort of perfume. He said he didn't have much there for us as far as used car goes, but that he did have a good offer for us from the next door neighbor. We took a look at it and fell in love the van.... the sales man said that he couldn't show it to us for this van was parked in their parking lot temporally. He was gone a couple of minutes and comes back with another sales man from the next car lot.
About the van - The van has a brand new smell, and it has been well cared for it, only some minor body scratches. It was a trade in. It has been sitting there for three months. So, yesterday for Labor Day, they brought the price down $4,000. Exactly what we could afford.
We found a perfect van for us, more than what I had ever dreaming of asking the Lord for it. The van has only 42 thousand miles, it's 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan, and "NO SMELLS" The color - It's a green/blue/silver finish, sort like a teal. Honestly, I would been happy for any color, as long it didn't have horrible animal or smoke smells. DD is most happy for it has a DVD player for the back passengers.
People say be careful as to what you ask of the Lord. I was very careful in not asking too much, i just wanted a second car. He gave me more, much more, beyond what I ever asked Him. My heart just over flows with thanksgiving for Him. The Lord is most gracious to me, I truly feel I don't deserve such a wonderful blessing.
I better go for now. I am planning on blogging more this month I'm working on a couple of posts for the next couple of days. One will be how to applique and the other on homemade soaps.

Shalom, Katia,
I am so blessed to hear about your gift from God. Thank you for sharing this story. I love to hear about his miracles that happen each day. I, too, wonder why He is so merciful and kind to us. We do not deserve what He does for us.
