Netflix is the only indulgence we have at our house. We never even go to the movies. I think it's been 4 or 5 years now since this happened. Finding good wholesome family movies is a very hard thing, unless one reviews it, before the whole family can watch together. I would like to suggest some of our favorites we have seen here lately. Just in case you haven't heard of them. What are some of your favorites??? I am always on the lookout for some new ones.
Miss Potter -
This is about Beatrice Potter's life, the author and illustrator of Peter Rabbit. It's wonderful! We loved everything about this movie. The acting, animation, good morals, love for nature and community..... I won't tell you any more so I won't spoil the fun.
I hope you have a wonderful day.
((((hugs))))

Jannette Oke "Love Comes Softly". series -
My DD has been collecting all of the movies in this series She has all of the books and read them twice, now she is collecting all of the movies as they come out. I have to say since we read the books the movies are not like the books, but they are still very good wholesome family movies. Its very refreshing to be able to watch good morals and Godly characters on your screen. I've used them as part of American western history.
The Last Sin Eater -
Oh my goodness, talk about the "The Truth will set you free" Wow, this can be a bit scary for wee little ones. There are a couple of very scary, dark parts in it.....The Gospel message of forgiveness, freedom in Christ and His truths that sets us free is all in there. Very inspiring!
Friendly Persuasion -
Great history lesson on Civil War and the Shaker community. Starring Gary Cooper.
God's Outlaw -
The Story of William Tyndale - This is very good, what else can I say? The move speaks for it self.
Beyond the Next mountain -
I will just tell you this, it's a good reminder that we are to be planting seeds and one never knows where and when they will grow. When I was done watching this the verse which came to mind was:

It looks like a good list. I've heard of some of them. I don't have any to share though, sorry. :)

Thanks for the list.I just watched a "G" movie with my kids without previewing it and was really upset when there was bad content. You can't even trust the "G" rating.
Hi mom,
Just stopping by to say hi:)

We're netflix fans as well. You might also like The Ultimate Gift. It's fabulous. I love James Garner, and the way he plays this part is great. It really reminds you of the important things in life, and of our Father's ultimate love and forgiveness. My husband and daughter both loved it. And, it's family friendly. :)
