If you are like me, when I first begin observing Unleavened Bread, I went to the local Jewish Passover section of my grocery store and bought special Matzo meal flour for baking. We all know too well, how costly this is. Well, this year after doing some research I've come up with this fabulous inexpensive flour.
Buy unsalted, plain matzo to make your matzo meal.
Since I don't own a food processor I used my blender to create matzo meal. Put a few pieces of broken matzo into your blender, using the chopping setting and blend for a minute or so. Check the meal for consistency. If there are still large pieces of matzo, process for a few more seconds. Keep blending until the matzo meal is as finely ground as you would like it.

I also read this can be done by hand with a rolling pin and and a plastic bag, but a bit more work.
It takes approximately 1 whole matzo to make a 1/4 cup of meal.
