Ainsley's Quilt

This was my first attempt in applicate quilts. Little Ainsley's theme colors are more on the yellow side with touches of pink, so I used my 1930's reproduction fabric for touches of soft pink and yellow pastels. I used yellow fleece for the backing, my friend Lori gave me the tip, it made the quilt very soft and warm, like the one I've made for my little nephew Trent. I tied the quilt together at the very tip of the hearts.

I was a bit disappointed with the picture quality. I'm still getting used to how the flash on my new camera works. I used the blanket stitch around the hearts, verses the traditional applicate stitch.
This is one of the verses associated with Ainsley's name.
Let me hear Your lovingkindness in the morning; For I trust in You; Teach me the way in which I should walk; For to You I lift up my soul. Psalm 143:8
Blessings on your Wednesday.

Good Morning Sweetie,

I am sorry I didn't get here sooner ! I am finding blogging harder in the winter. I guess to much knitting and beading. [0;

I love your new blog. It is soooo pretty. I pray you feel very blessed here and get to branch out the way you want to. I have REALLY been wanting to make a quilt. I better start soon...winter is almost over. /0= MIL and hubby are already talking what we are going to be doing for gardening. I am not ready. I will try to make it so I can do my share in the early morning when I don't get a ear ful. I want it to be a time of prayer and reflection.

Sending you blessings and ((hugs)) my very SSiC.

Thank you for your sweet words about my beading.

Blessings and ((hugs))
In Him<><

I love your quilt! I look forward to learning how you did it.

Your blog is great. I love the flowers. We always have a butterfly garden full of wildflowers and old-fashioned plants.
